Getting started
Mod / E.M C offers a Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ). Minimum orders vary per design, and can vary from 100 - 200 units for Casual Wear ( dependent on the product ). We support both large and small brands and our infrastructure allows us to offer a full manufacturing solution from prototype development to full scale production.
Fabrics are sourced based upon the requirements of the customer, we often weave custom fabrics to suit the application. If required we can source branded or imported fabrics, and we can also produce organic, sustainable and recycled fabrics upon request.
A “unit” is one single garment. Therefore our MOQ of 50 units per design and per colour is referring to 50 single garments to make up a batch. A “unit” may also be called a “piece” or given as the abbreviation “pcs” when referring to multiple units.
Professionally drawn designs are helpful for us to gather an understanding of the clothing you’d like to have produced, however we understand that as a small brand or a start up you may not have these in place. In that case you can simply use a tack-pack or something similar
General
The process always begins with either an inspirational sample to replicate or a complete tech pack. Our team carefully reviews the information sent to fully understand the type of products you wish to develop and all specific requirements. Based on this information, we select the most suitable manufacturer to evaluate your project and provide an initial quote.
Once the quote is approved, we move forward with sampling and incorporate your feedback to refine every detail. Our goal is to develop the perfect garment ready for production and aligned with your timeline. Throughout both the sampling and production stages, our quality controllers are present on-site at the manufacturing facilities, ensuring that every requirement is met with precision and consistency.
We accept payment via bank transfer. Payment information can be found on your invoice.
The clothing manufacturers we work with on a daily basis hold one or more of the following certifications: OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, SA8000 Social Accountability, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GRS (Global Recycled Standard), RWS (Responsible Wool Standard), SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), and OCS 100 (Organic Content Standard).
Orders
The length of time it takes for you to receive your samples and prototypes depend entirely on your requirements. With that being said however, we aim to produce a pre production prototype within 2-5 weeks of order placement. We will always endeavor to meet any timescales you may have, and will discuss this with you throughout the design process.
